Dual Wielding - caraminden/anathema-roguelike GitHub Wiki
It is possible to wield two Short Blades at once, this has some benefits and some drawbacks. If a character has a Short Blade equipped to both its Primary Weapon slot and Secondary Weapon slot, that character is considered Dual Wielding and will use both Weapons when making Weapon Attacks.
- Weapon Attacks made while Dual Wielding deal substantially more Damage than attacking with a single Weapon. The main hand Weapon will deal normal Weapon Damage and the off hand Weapon will deal half Weapon Damage
- Because Dual Wielding uses the Secondary Weapon slot for the second Short Blade, that slot cannot be used for an alternate Weapon.
- Weapon Speed while Dual Wielding is equal to the Weapon Speed of the Primary Weapon plus the Weapon Speed of the Secondary Weapon
- Because an Attack made while Dual Wielding uses two Weapons, their Weights both contribute to the extra, Weapon based, Encumbrance penalties to Weapon Attacks.
- Motion generated by Weapon Attacks while Dual Wielding is increased by 100%
- Sound generated by Weapon Attacks while Dual Wielding is increased by 100%
Some of these drawbacks can be mitigated by Dual Wield Mastery
