Peaceful, hardy, and brightly colored, gramma are popular marine fish to keep. Though they usually get along with their nautical neighbors, gramma can be plucky when it comes to territory, and quickly chase off intruders. If you can find a reef, you can keep gramma fish yourself! From the iconic royal gramma to the newly-discovered, rare golden basslet, these vibrant tropical fish are ready to bring life to any aquarium.

Spawning and taming

Grammas are uncommon spawns in tropical ocean biomes. They always spawn in pairs.

As ambient, neutral animals, they can be picked up without issue. They can also be picked up in a bucket.

Grammas cannot be tamed, but are still perfect for your exhibits anyways! As fast speed animals, it may take you a couple of tries.

Care

Grammas have 1 hearts (2 points) of health, can deal 0 hearts of damage, and drop raw gramma upon death.

As ambient animals, they do not need specialized care.

Grammas can be bred with mussels.

Usage

Gramma is a food item obtained from Grammas when killed, and is part of several diets to feed tamed animals.

Eating one raw gramma restores 2 hunger.

Variants

There are four species of grammas represented in ZAWA Evolved: golden basslet, black cap basslet, royal gramma, and yellow lined basslet.
