Keybindings - TinyModularThings/IC2Classic GitHub Wiki
IndustrialCraft adds some keybindings which allow you to change modes, effects or other stuff on Items/Blocks or some other things.
There is only 3 situations where keybindings will be used and how they beeing used:
- When you rightclick a item you can keep a key pressed to activate a mode.
- When you have a Armor piece equipped and you keep a key or a key combo pressed.
- Some special cases where a keybinding is needed.
Keybindings can be modified via Minecrafts Keybinding-config as you wish. So you are not forced to stay with the original keys.
Also in the Config there is a Option where you can enable or dissable that keybindings can be still used when you are in any form of gui that allows you to input key information. By default this feature is enabled
List of Keybindings:
Alt Key
The Alt key is the Key to trigger a secondary effect of an Item/Armor to allow you to use differend modes of them.
This normally means that a temporary effect gets applied, but it will be not a permanent change.
It will just stay as long the key is pressed.
- Default Keybinding: Alt or Left Menu key.
Boost Key
The Boost key is the key which triggers a charge or enhancement ability of an Item/Armor,
to allow you to use an ability that improves your abilites better during the effect will be activated.
Like the Alt key this ability will be only applied as long the key is pressed.
- Default Keybinding: Left Control or Strg key.
Mode Switch Key
The Mode Switch Key is the trigger to switch a mode of an Item/Armor to allow you to apply modes to tools who have secondary effects.
When the Mode Switch is applied it will be permanent until the Mode Switch key is applied to it again.
Usually it will change tools modes or armor modes that could be custom enabled or dissabled.
- Default Keybinding: M key
Side Inventory Key
The Side Inventory Key allows you to open hidden Inventories of Items/Armor or other things if they have these bound to them.
It is basicly an additional key if the item has already a lot of uses to expand the uses with it.
The end result is that you get access to inventory options that were not possible without it.
- Default Keybinding: C key
Hub Expand Key
The Hud Expand key is the key that changes hud information in certan cases.
What the Hude key allows you to change is basicly to change shown information or stop certen rendering features that would be else constantly running.
- Default Keybinding: X key
Toggle Key
The Toggle Key has 1 thing that it has to do. Turn on and off your jetpack in IC2 Classic it has no other use then that.
- Defaulting Keybinding: V key
