The Staircase is an object in Sonic the Hedgehog, found in Star Light Zone. It is a collection of 4 solid blocks that, on first encounter, appear together in a row. When stood upon, they slowly fall, allowing Sonic to progress. A subtype of this object sees the staircase rumble and fall when hit from below.
