Mechanic

  • Allows you to upgrade Armors, Horse Armors, and Tools up to Diamond-tier. It's similar to the Smithing Table BUT you need more than 1 item to upgrade items. The main use is to keep enchantments you may have on lower-tier items.
  • The upgrading formula is as follows:
  • Armor: Leather/Gold/Chainmail -> Iron -> Diamond
  • Tools Wooden -> Stone/Gold -> Iron -> Diamond
  • Horse Armor: Leather/Gold -> Iron -> Diamond
  • Stone-tier upgrade loot: Cobblestones
  • Iron-tier upgrade loot: Iron Ingots
  • Diamond-tier upgrade loot: Diamonds
  • Amount of loot needed to upgrade:
  • Chestplate: 7
  • Leggings/Horse Armor: 6
  • Helmets: 4
  • Boots: 3
  • Pickaxes/Axes: 2
  • Swords/Hoes/Shovels: 1

  • 4.1.0: Introduced block.
  • 4.1.1: Flipped the top block texture upside down.

  • 4.5.5: Decreased items needed to upgrade any item by 1.
  • 4.5.6: Re-worked block so that the "Upgrade" button is no longer needed. 2 Text labels have also been added for clarification.

  1. The Reforger is no longer a block entity.
  2. As of 7.0.0, the Reforger no longer creates the upgraded item disguised as the item-to-upgrade, instead actually upgrades it like normal.
