Welcome to the Project Portal wiki
This wiki is in english, since the Project Portal can be installed in english and is built to support other languages as well.
Installing the Project Portal
The Project Portal can be installed to Office 365, SharePoint 2016 and SharePoint 2013. Before you begin installation, you should read this before you install. The installation procedure and script is documented thoroughly, and several installation options are available.
If you by any chance get any errors during or after installation, you should check out the Installation troubleshooting page where common issues and problems are documented and maintained.
If you still don't find the solution to your problem, you can search for open and closed GitHub issues and see if you find that the issue is already registered. If you can't find an existing issue, you may create a GitHub issue.
Upgrading
We have a separate page that documents how to upgrade your Project Portal installation to the latest version.
Customizing the Project Portal
The Project Portal is built to allow several different variants of customizations while still supporting updates to the core solution. See How to configure your installation for details on this topic.
Developing for the Project Portal
To get started with developing on the Project portal, see development. Any development by contributors outside the core team should be contributed using Pull Requests. Only the core team will be able to contribute directly to the project, but the core team should also be using branches and committing directly to master is not permitted.
Do note that if you clone the Project Portal and start to create your own branch of the solution, keeping up to date with later updates to the core package will be much harder. The Project Portal is built to allow several different variants of customizations while still supporting updates to the core solution. See How to configure your installation.
Migrating from the old Project Portal
The old Project Portal released in 2014 is not easily upgraded to this version. We have created a guide for how to upgrade from the old version, which may help you along.
