purgatory - LeFreq/Singularity GitHub Wiki

Purgatory is a global area in coordinate space where people can go to find code that has been "kicked out" because it has behaved badly (failed to meet it's implore or swear contracts).

This area holds misbehaving or possibly malevolent objects in a list, ordered by the price people are willing to pay to get them fixed.

XXX this needs to be updated and expanded for NetNews. Rename to REMEDIATION, so that objects/news items and perhaps even node peers can be put into remediation and bumped up for attention there vs. the whole.

Purgatorio is a holding area. Each object is in a group named by the object's owner and super objects (if any). User's can put up a bounty for others to fix the object. This is another way users will be able to create economic value.

At the bottom of coordinate space is a plane, colored by the present view's color. Objects below that boundary are in Purgatorio and stay there until rescued by some other programmer.
