Game Principles - LSFN/Design GitHub Wiki

These principles describe the desired qualities of LSFN. They do not describe game features, but will guide how features are implemented. Each is described in more detail on its own page if the tag line alone doesn't suffice to describe it fully. These are not in any particular order, they are numbered solely so they can be referenced easily.

  1. Gameplay occurs both inside and outside of the LSFN software.
  2. No player shall be bored by their role in the game.
  3. The software shall "just work" without lengthy technical configuration.
  4. The gameplay shall adhere to all known science as a foundation but is free to extend into pseudoscience.
  5. The bridge of a ship is a sealed space which no in-game object can enter or damage.
  6. The game shall be customisable so that players can build their dream bridge.
