Version Control (VC + SVN)

Version Control + SVN features:

  • VC general
    • Change xml file for a VC (Version Controlled) package
    • Check-In as Service
    • Check-Out as Service
    • Show Folder VC Package
    • Get VC latest (recursive)

    • Show Tortoise Log

Set / Change *.xml file

Often it's annoying to change an *.xml file. The result is: The *.xml file structure doesn't reflect the EA package structure.

Procedure: to change .xml file

Set/Change the *.xml file path for a VC (Version Controlled) package

  1. Check-In the package for which you want to change the *.xml file
  2. Move the *.xml file to the new location and check it in
  3. Click on Set/Change VC *.xml file
  4. Enter new *.xml file path

hoTools provides Services of the often used functions. You can put your needed services by configuration on

to activate the function with just one Click.

Check-In

Mark a package and click on Button or your defined global Key.

Check-Out

Mark a package and click on Button or your defined global Key.

VC + SVN Support**

Enable the VC and or SVN - Support with General Settings.
