Brookville Equipment Co. - FresnoSubber/Fresno-and-Co.-Trainbuild-Tomfuckery GitHub Wiki

Brookville in and of itself is an enigma. You can either sum it up by saying that they rebuild shit, but that’s the magic of Brookville. It ISN’T just that. In fact, they pretty much made their own locomotives and have a big presence in the coasts of the U.S. whether it would be in the east with Metro North’s BL20GH, or in the west with the lone BL21CG that was rebuilt from a godawful and fucking dying GP38 that the Central California Traction Company stole purchased in 2011.
So anyway, Brookville, short for Brookville Locomotive Company and later Brookville Equipment Company, was formed in 1918 as Brookville Truck & Tractor Company in Brookville, Pennsylvania by L. A. Leathers, who was a former Ford employee. He basically just invented the concept of the Hi-Rail, which would kick the soccer-ball sized things that were speeders off the railroads around 80 years later.
So cut ALLLLLLLLLLLL the way to 2007, the U.S. is fucking dying because they didn’t take emissions standards into account until now. So not only do they task NRE and Railpower to do this, but they also put Brookville into the ring to do so. Now, up until now since 2003, they only really have been revamping streetcars, but they were not really against it, so they introduce the CoGeneration series. This consists of both MTU Powered Units and Gensets.

Brush-Brookville-Sulzer (1957-1997) :no_entry:
Let's say, in an alternate universe, in a similar fashion to MLW-US, which offered MLW products to the United States via Morrison-Knudsen, Brookville in some method gained the licenses from both Brush Traction and Sulzer to build their locomotives for the United States. This would probably last until 1997 when New Sulzer Diesel was sold to Wärtsilä and Brush stopped making their own locomotives.
