Use case Access General Indicator Dashboard
Actors User
Stakeholders and interests Forest Inventory Analyst: Needs a quick executive summary of analysis results for immediate insights. Project Manager: Requires key metrics for high-level project status updates.
Pre-conditions The user is in an active Phytosociological Analysis with specimen data entered. Initial calculations (Density, Dominance, Frequency, Volume) have been processed.
Minimum guarantees System indicates if data is insufficient for dashboard display.
Success guarantees A dashboard with a consolidated executive summary of Phytosociological Analysis results is displayed.

Main Success Scenario

User Action System Response
1. This use case begins when the user, from the Phytosociological Analysis overview, selects the "General" tab or option. 2. The system verifies that the selected Analysis has sufficient processed specimen data.
3. The system processes the analysis's specimen data and calculates the summarized indicators in real-time. Data generated and displayed includes: Total Number of Individuals, Number of Species, Density (ind/ha), Basal Area (m²/ha), Volume (m³/ha), Shannon Index (H’), Simpson Index (D), Pielou's Evenness Index (J’), Number of Plots, Sampled Area (ha), and a Collector's Curve graph.
4. The system displays these summarized results and relevant graphs (Phytosociological Parameters, Collector's Curve) in a clear and concise manner on the "General" tab.
5. The user can click on indicators or interact with graphs. 6. The system updates the dashboard in real-time as new data is added or calculations change.

Special Requirements

  • Availability: Dashboard is available on the "General" tab only after data entry and basic calculations.
  • Displayed Indicators: Must display Total Individuals/Species, Density, Basal Area, Volume, Shannon, Simpson, Pielou indices, Number of Plots, Sampled Area.
  • Interactivity: Indicators must be clickable and updated in real-time.
  • Graphs: Must include Phytosociological Parameters and Collector's Curve graphs with specified metrics.
