Installing

You'll need a userscript browser extension like Greasemonkey or Tampermonkey. iOS devices can use an app called "Userscripts". Once you've picked out a plugin you'll want to open cyberspace-atmospheric-modulator.user.js and choose Install. Then reload Cyberspace.

Permissions

Userscript extensions will all usually ask you at some point for permission to connect to any domains the script needs. You'll need to allow both of these for the script to work:

Site Used for
raw.githubusercontent.com Checking for updates, and loading site-wide override styles.
api.cyberspace.online Used for interacting with the API on Cyberspace to poke a user, report an issue via cMail, and saving/loading your settings in a private note.

The API calls use the login session for your account. The script never saves, logs or sends that session anywhere but api.cyberspace.online, and only calls the API when you choose something that needs it.

Moving from Nick Colors

Atmospheric Modulator has the Nick Colors userscript built in. All of the settings from the deprecated userscript will import into this one.

  1. If you haven't exported your old Nick Colors settings do that now. In the Grease/Tampermonkey menu, find the Nick Colors Settings menu option to open the old settings window. Under Backup, choose Copy to Clipboard or Save Settings File. Export Nick Colors Settings
  2. Navigate to Settings > AtmoMod tab
  3. Make sure Nick Colors Usernames get their own color is ON (otherwise the Nick Colors section won't show) Enable Nick Colors Toggle
  4. Scroll down to the Nick Colors > Moving from Nick Colors section and click Import from Nick Colors. Moving From Nick Colors
  5. Paste your settings into the import dialog, or load the file.
  6. Turn the Nick Colors userscript **off.

The settings don't carry over by themselves, because each userscript has its own storage.

Warning #1: importing replaces the built-in nick colors' settings and custom colors. Notes move to Nick Notes.

Warning #2: don't run both. They keep separate settings, and will cause weird glitchy bugs if they're both running at the same time.
