| 前面表示 | Above Characters | An option to display a character above other characters. Appears in the Map Event Editor, Move Route, and more. |
| オートタイル | Auto-Tile | Not "Autotile." |
| 基本システム | Base System | The core RPG system included by default. |
| 基本タイル | Base Tile | A map tile within a base tileset. |
| 基本タイルセット | Base Tileset | Auto-tiles will be added to this. |
| ゲームの基本設定 | Basic Game Settings | Also known simply as "Game settings." |
| 表示形式 | Blend Mode | An option for the Picture command. The literal translation is "Display type." |
| 文字コード | Character Encoding | Such as UTF-8 and Shift-JIS. The literal translation is "Character code." |
| キャラチップ | Character Sprite | The literal translation is "Character chip." |
| 透明 | Clear | The tile in the top-left corner (the 0th tile) of a tileset. |
| 決定キー | Confirm Key | Not "OK key." |
| 復号 | Decryption | Antonym of encryption. "Decoding" is incorrect. |
| POV十字キー | Directional Pad | The directional buttons on a gamepad. Follows Xbox terminology. Also known as "D-pad." |
| 処理時間 | Duration | An option for commands such as Picture or Effects. The literal translation is "Processing time." |
| 仲間 | Follower | Party members other than the lead character. |
| 自由変形 | Free Transform | An option for the Picture command. |
| 主人公 | Leader | The lead character in the party and the player character. |
| マップチップ | Map Tile | The literal translation is "Map chip." |
| すり抜け | Pass-Through | An option that allows a character to pass through impassable tiles. |
| 通行設定 | Tile Settings | Passability and attribute settings for each tile in a tileset. The literal translation is "Traffic settings." |
| ピクチャ番号 | Picture ID | Not "Picture number." |
| 周波数 | Pitch | A sound option. The literal translation is "Frequency." |
| ピクセル補正値 | Pixel Offset | The amount shifted in pixels by the "Pixel Movement" effect command. |
| 顔グラフィック | Portrait | A character image displayed in the message window. |
| 精密座標 | Precise Position | The position in 0.5 units. |
| 起動条件 | Run Type | An option for Map/Common Event. The literal translation is "Run condition," but it's confusing because there's another setting called "Condition." |
| ゲーム画面サイズ | Screen Resolution | A game setting. The literal translation is "game screen size." |
| タイル設定 | Tileset Settings | Settings for an entire tileset. The literal translation is "Tile settings," but it's inaccurate. |
| タイプ設定 | Type Definition | Settings for a Type in a database. The literal translation is "Type settings," but "Type definition" better matches the wording of the "Define" button. |
| 変数呼び出し値 | Variable Reference Value | The literal translation is "Variable call value." |
