ScreenResTemplates folder

The ScreenResTemplates folder is used to store pre-made ScreenRes files, with different custom settings. You will have to add your own res files of preference here.

• For a 3 screen cabinet it could be ScreenRes files with different positions for the DMD or adding backgrounds to backglasses with different aspect ratio. We need example Screenres file examples!
• for 2 screen cabinet users it can be ScreenRes files with a full screen backglass without DMD for EM tables, or even different looking grill backgrounds.
• And a single screen user might like this feature as well. Ask Tikimaster@VPU or Tiki@vpforums!

The sky is the limit!

When the B2SBackglassServerRegisterApp is run, it adds a context menu entry for each of the files with a name "*.res":

Since 2.1.1 this context menu is added to the directb2s backglass file rather than to the vpx file!

When one of these are selected, the Screenres file template is copied to tablename.res

If you add or remove templates in the folder you need to rerun the B2SBackglassServerRegisterApp to update the menu.

It is also possible to right click a directb2s file, and select "Edit ScreenRes file", it then automatically starts the B2SScreenResIdentifier.exe with the correct filename set. So even if there is no ScreenRes file available, this is one way to create a new one.

🤓 It is also possible to double click a ScreenRes file which opens B2SScreenResIdentifier.exe and edits it or double click a directb2s file to get a preview of a backglass.
