B2SScreenResIdentifier - vpinball/b2s-backglass GitHub Wiki

B2SScreenresidentifierIcon The B2SScreenresidentifier is used for editing ScreenRes.txt and tablename.res files. From release 2.0.0 you can start it with right-click on a Backglass, click on "Edit ScreenRes file" or just double click your existing ScreenRes tablename.res file.

If you start B2SScreenResIdentifier directly, you will only be able to edit your screenres.txt used as global settings.

When started it opens 2-4 windows in different sizes. The Playfield, Backglass, Background if activated and the B2S-DMD. You can grab, size and move your windows with your mouse. You will see the size and position numbers are updating automatically while moving. The B2S-DMD Window will be shown at a default location, if you did not fill in position and size in your screenres.txt/tablename.res

To get exact positions and sizes you can edit the numbers directly shown on the window. Move the window to the screen where you want it to appear and activate fullsized if you want it to be Fullscreen. Remember: To see your B2S-DMD and/or your background Image, you will have to activate them in your Backglass Settings.

If you want to use B2S-DMD or Background only - without Backglass - you can edit your Backglass position and move the it out of sight.

Example: If your Backglass Screen is 1920x1080 you can set the x-Pos of the Backglass to 1921. See the Backgrounds Instructions for how to use a image as background for tables that have no specific Backglass.

Attention!:

Be sure to not save it globally if you only want to edit your individual tablename.res (always keep a backup of your screenres.txt to be safe).
