Description

A wall-like structure made out of logs standing upright.

Recipe

Craft an axe with two logs placed vertically.

Only Palisade from true wood logs (logs that can be peeled) is available, however fresh, non-peeled logs can be used to craft it. There is no palisade from Bamboo, Palm and Yoshua currently.

Placement

Placed Palisade blocks will connect to stone walls, wattle, Wattle Gate and fence gates. Stone walls and wattle will in turn connect to Palisade. Palisade and wooded fences will not connect to one other.

A single palisade block will render as a single post on which a torch or Clay Lamp can be placed.

Palisade blocks will connect together to create a seamless wall with corners and junctions. Palisade blocks that have only one connection will try to connect to a solid block. When no more than one connection can be established the outlying post appears shorter.

Instead of connecting to adjacent solid blocks a continuous palisade wall will try to fill in the gaps. This allows the construction of walkways that attach to the palisade, terrace walls and so on.

The posts of a palisade wall have uneven height at random, unless they connect to gates and solid blocks, and unless a solid block is placed on top of them.

The collision height of a palisade block is set to 1.5 blocks with the following exceptions:

• The outlying post at the end of a palisade wall has collision height of 0.5 blocks
• Palisade walls that fill gaps with solid blocks have collision height of 1 block

Notes

• Non-player entities observe extended collision boundaries in hopes to prevent animals from escaping by glitching through them.
