A Clay Lamp can be placed on flat surface and places where a torch can be placed such as a fence post to become a stationary light source when lit while consuming Olive Oil.

A Clay Lamp that has be places in the world can be filled up when holding a bowl, a glass bottle or a ceramic jug of Olive Oil. In case of a bowl there needs to be room for 250 mB of fuel in the Oil Lamp. Glass Bottles and Ceramic Jugs are partial containers and so they can fill Clay Lamps by an amount of fuel that is a multiple of 50 mB. Olive Oil can be completely topped up from a held Clay Lamp containing enough Olive Oil.

A Clay Lamp can contain up to 300 mB of Olive Oil.

A placed Clay Lamp can be lit by right clicking while holding a candle, or a torch that has been lit, and it can be turned off by right clicking with an empty hand. An Clay lamp cannot be lit when it's raining unless covered, and it will get doused if it's already lit.

A lit Clay Lamp can be used to set a torch or a candle alight by holding it in your hand and right clicking it.

By default a lit Clay Lamp consumes 1 mB of Olive Oil every 4 hours and produces a light level of 12. Both of these parameters can be configured.
