Ore Bits - unforbidable/tfcplus-bids GitHub Wiki
Description
Ore bits represent tiny pieces of ore created by breaking apart ore chunks. One ore bit yields 5 units of respective metal. Ore bits can stack up to up to 32.
Recipes
Ore bits are crafted by combining an ore chunk with a hammer in the crafting grid. The hammer takes damage.
- Small ore chunk OR native ore nugget + Hammer => 2 ore bits
- Poor ore chunk + Hammer => 3 ore bits
- Normal ore chunk + Hammer => 5 ore bits
- Rich ore chunk + Hammer => 7 ore bits
A steel hammer or higher tier is required to break iron bearing ore chunks into ore bits. Breaking iron bearing ore chunks causes more damage to the hammer compared to other ore chunks.
Usage
Ore bits can be smelted into metal in a crucible, or in a small vessel & kiln, very much like ore chunks can.
Ore bits smelt faster than bigger ore chunks in a Clay and Fire Clay Crucible.
Ore bits can be combined into Ore Piles.
Notes
- Ore bits might take up more space in a crucible or a small vessel when smelting.
Planned features
- Ore chunks need to be broken into ore bits before grinding them in a quern into grains.
