1 AI drastically empowers devs

This doc is a modified version of wiki page.

https://github.com/terrytaylorbonn/auxdrone/wiki/Example-deployment

talks about how I set up very basic demo of the following and deployed to render.

I’ve written a lot of Api docs, I wrote docs that really show how to use (NO TDLR).

I could do that because =critical company experts help (minimal required, but critical at times), =google, StackOverflow, YouTube videos =search algorithms to find by keyword

But the above do not =answer questions, or =tell how to modify my existing code (the details).

Copilot does. Gdrive https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1-Adawag9uA8_bq-hDF-nOuPYaRLz1eEO doc #238 for most details BE doc #238 search “COP“ for copilot prompts, about 20 #267 for FE

I am not a full stack dev. But I was able, without human assistance, to get this running because of AI.

2 AI has absolutely no intelligence

Human mind = intelligent.

Computers, ai = dumb binary machines. Must be done perfect or crashes. Level of abstraction 1 what customization I need 2 how much my brain can handle

Dev tools: first compiler = big deal. Search engines, code complete. And now AI (SI)

These are still dumb binary machines artificial Sweetener created a sweet taste. Artificial colors, flavors actually created colors and flavors.

But AI only simulates intelligence (SI). The AI is a marketing gimmick that has been used for decades. I remember 40 years ago supposedly brilliant programmers seriously claiming that their primitive binary computer programs were intelligent and could one day replace humans. . https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tron 1982 based on some bizarre idea that computers back then were intelligent enough to “digitalize” a human that now lives in the computer system. It’s funny looking back on such silliness (created to profit from the lack of understanding of the general public). This is what the current AI hype is . hype that sells, makes profit.

Geniuses that did not understand what intelligence is. Writing this article is much harder than what AI does

3 AI “training” = building a card catalog

Training = misused ai term. Ai does not learn. Its catalogs, that’s why it needs huge data centers. Huge amounts of “training” (I’ve studied it a bit).

Glorified card catalog. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Library_catalog

4 But AI is incredibly useful

And ai is a set of technologies that together drastically do well what humans can not.

An example is an aspect of copilot demo’s often in doc #238 “COP[4]: is there yet another way to post?” (ABOVE : “COP” = copilot, and my question ) Copilot analyzes my code and gives me the code to change/insert (not just a card catalog, but truly a copilot).

That’s what it’s all about $500 billion = one giant card catalog. With the tools to get required into to you. In situ, in context, asap, dirt cheap.

5 The API sandbox

The sandbox has experienced a bit of “mission creep”. Originally it was going to focus on API docs. But I started to realize that it was possible for me in my kitchen with no assistance To build full stack apps with Apis.. thanks to AI.

The now Goal of all this API sandbox article is to =Make my demos public =Document and write about it =Use it to get job (my API doc projects were never public, so I need some kind of portfolio… hope to have some good examples by mid-2025) NOTE: Work in progress (WIP).. I started on the API sandbox in sep 2024.
