CMS

Content management systems. I myself tend to avoid these, preferring to do things my own way (which keeps me productive and avoids mistakes).

I plan to describe here

  • My own way of managing content
  • A few CMS's (some that I have used in the past)

Confluence / Jira

I started writing a Confluence "Getting Started" that demos setting up / using your own installation (cloud) of Confluence. Basically I do the following:

  • get a trial version (cloud)
  • setup confluence with several emails
  • manage a mock project using the 3 emails
  • focus on
    • initial setup and
    • day to day tasks
    • confluence functionality

Basically do the same as with Jira:

  • several emails.
  • focus on touching on all functional aspects
