1 Expert advice

The following are some good expert comments about how to learn AWS and the problems with the certifications:

"In a real job you can not not know how to do these"... freecodecamp.org comments about what he considers to be the "poor quality" of DVA-C02_AWS-Certified-Developer-Associate_Exam-Guide.pdf.
Better dev says
- You should look at AWS historically and the broad picture.
- Do examples that go thru categories of services.. compute, dbs, networking, etc..
- Many new things in AWS are "wrappers" (Apprunner just uses EC2 and adds a GUI)
- "I feel like I spent too much time on certifications" ... its better to learn AWS and gain confidence by building projects. Projects that solve a real problems and combine multiple AWS services.

2 My approach

2.1 Get hands on experience doing....

2.2 Build a set of progressively more complex demo projects

My projects (WIP) will

Contain my own versions of demos
Be organized by concepts and usage (not sure yet what this will look like)
Get progressively more complex
Cover all subjects on __DVA-C02_plan_v01_24.1011.docx. I will basically use the exam as a guide for what to get hands on experience with.
- Task statements
- Services and features

The above will take quite a few months, but its the general plan. I look forward to it (I like working with AWS).
