TV Guide

NextPVR provides an on-screen TV Guide for selecting shows to watch or record. Before programme details will appear you need to populate your listings by configuring an EPG source.

You can move around the TV Guide grid using the mouse and keyboard, or your remote control. Details for the currently highlighted show appear below the guide grid.

Colour Coding

• Green — the currently selected show
• Red — the show is scheduled to record
• Grey — the show is currently broadcasting

Watching a Programme

Highlight a show and press Ctrl-P / Play, or open the Show Details popup and click Watch to start Live TV playback of that channel. For digital radio channels, click Listen to start audio-only playback.

Recording a Programme

Highlight a show and press Ctrl-K / Record to schedule it with default options, or open the Show Details popup and choose one of:

• Quick Record — schedules with default options immediately.
• Record — opens the custom record dialog where you can set the recording type, padding, keep count, directory, and advanced rules.

Show Details Popup

Selecting a show opens the Show Details popup. Available actions are Close, Quick Record, Record, Watch, and Listen (radio channels only).

Menu Bar Buttons

The following buttons are available on the hidden menu bar (press Home or the Info/Menu remote button to show it):

• Back — returns to the main menu
• Groups — filters the guide to a channel group
• Man-Rec — opens the Manual Record popup (see Recordings)

Channel Logos

The TV Guide can display channel logos depending on the skin in use. See Additional Setup for configuration details. Note that the default skin does not show channel logos when NextPVR is configured for a 4:3 screen.
