Data panels - shlomitya/eye-tracker-analyzer GitHub Wiki

On the left of the Data Inspector are two panels depicting the vertical (upper panel) and horizontal (lower panel) eye positions over time in the current segment.

image

The eye positions in each panel are depicted in visual angles and are mean-centred (depicted as the horizontal dashed line around zero). The range in visual angles of the y-axis is set as a factor of X standard deviations from the grand mean (across segments) and is controlled via the 'Data Inspection Display Range' option within the eye movement analysis dialogue. The time on the x-axis is depicted in ms and is locked to the onset trigger. Each eye (when applicable) is plotted in a different colour, corresponding to the legend above the panel.

Segments of missing data (caused by either the loss of gaze data during recording or during a blink) are marked by dashed lines connecting to the eye traces. Note that this segment is inclusive of the blink delta specified in the eye movement analysis dialogue.

Segments coloured in green indicate saccades that were detected by the algorithm. These saccades could appear with a vertical component, a horizontal component, or both components.

Hovering with the mouse on a marked saccade will display a tooltip, indicating the saccade amplitude (in visual degrees) and peak eye velocity (in deg/ms).
