From your browser, go to https://vpn.hmislynk.com

For Windows and Mac:

You will be asked if you would like to continue as the certificate is not secured - screenshot below from a Windows machine. This message might appear differently on Mac. Accept and continue. This is due to the default self-signed certificate that comes with OpenVPN installation.

Click on the link to download the OpenVPN client plug in and install OpenVPN Client - screen shot below

.

Once its installed, you can now login to VPN using the following details.

VPN Host : vpn.hmislynk.com

Username : Provided by HSLynk team

Password : Provided by HSLynk team

For Ubuntu or other Gnome Desktop systems:

If you are using Ubuntu Linux, the NetworkManager can load the client.ovpn file you can download by clicking "Yourself (user-locked profile)".

Then, open Network Settings app (NetworkManager) and add a new VPN connection from a file (don't select OpenVPN, as one might expect).

Then toggle the connection on, and browser to the Hue or connect to whatever service you are authorized to.

Using Connected VPN

If you are successfully connected, you should be able to access internal HSLynk tools/applications for which access is granted.

Note: currently, there is a bug, and Hue must be accessed using https:// . Using http:// will not redirect.
