History
Bernie Turgeon co-founded the Turgeon & Lohr winery in 1972, but sold his share to partner Jerry Lohr in 1984. Following a four year break running a brewpub in Santa Cruz, Bernie purchased the 25-acre Miller Ranch, 700 feet above Aptos in 1988 and founded Trout Gulch Vineyards.
Vineyard
The estate vineyard is 25 acres located 700 feet above Aptos in the Santa Cruz Mountains.

The vineyard also sources some fruit from the Regan vineyard.
