History
Lee Ritchey and John Zasio, Silicon Valley tech industry veterans, backed Ritchey's son Jeff in launching Sensorium Wines.
Jeff Ritchey, a San Jose native, holds a BS in Geology from UC Santa Barbara and MS in Enology from UC Davis. He served as winemaker at Clos LaChance Winery in San Martin, helping increase production from 10,000 to 30,000 cases.
2002: Founded Sensorium Wines, making wines from fruit sourced from multiple appellations including Uvas Creek vineyard in southern Santa Cruz Mountains.
Jeff also worked as consulting winemaker for several Monterey County and Santa Cruz County wineries including San Saba, Picchetti Winery, Los Gatos Wine Company, and Fleming-Jenkins.
The winery is now closed. Jeff Ritchey has since become co-founder and COO of Clean Solar.
