Located on Highway 92 just outside Half Moon Bay, it was hard to miss Obester Winery, though to be brutally honest it wasn't a bad thing if you did. The winery produces a range of different wines, including a California Champagnefrom a variety of sources including some estate fruit, but none of the wines were particularly impressive.

The winery began when the Obester family purchased the famous Gemello wineryfrom their relative, founder Mario Gemello. It continued for three generations before being sold to the Kellogg family in 2002, who relaunched the winery as La Nebbia.
