History
Founded 1987 by Bill Byington, who established steel treating company in 1950s. Purchased 95-acre property in Santa Cruz Mountains in 1958. Estate includes 8 acres of Pinot Noir in Santa Cruz Mountains at elevations from 2,000 to 2,200 feet.
Also owns 36-acre Tin Cross Vineyards in Alexander Valley (Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot).
Uses sustainable farming and biodynamic methods. Event venue for weddings and gatherings.
Home to Downhill Winery, run by general manager Frank Ashton.
