These steps are explained in detailed below. In some cases there are few different methods to carry out the required action, depending on your preferences, experience or available tools.

1. Check you have a compatible Saab and Bluetooth audio playing device; don't be afraid to buy another Saab if you don't have a compatible one;
2. Purchase the required PCB(s), electronic and other hardware components, as well as any needed tools you don't already have;
3. Place and solder the components to the board(s);
4. Install the necessary software on the board using a PC (Linux, Mac or Windows) and an AVR ISP programmer or Arduino board;
5. Fit the assembled board into the plastic box to create the BlueSaab module;
6. Install the module in your car, plugging into the CDC connector;
