In this tab you can specify the costs as marginal and full costs and assign them to cost elements. The cost elements are designated in Configuration Wizard - Master Data - Resources - time types . For general information on resource costs and examples please see Resource costs
All costs are specified in minutes or hourly rate. This is configured in Configuration wizard
Field Description Field Meaning Time types Below, time types with their cost rates are displayed. Click the yellow arrow to set up the time types Setup costs (Setup time type) hmtoggle_plus1 Cost rate "setting up" Only visible if "Extend to cost element" is greater than 1. You can specify a separate cost rate for the setup process here. The setup process can be reported separately in the FDC.
Input at marginal and full costs. A Cost element can also be stored, which is inserted into the work sequence on selection.
See Time types Processing costs (cost rate) hmtoggle_plus1 Cost rate "processing" This field is always visible. This is the main cost rate and can represent either a mixed calculation of all costs ("Extension to cost element" = 1), machinery costs only ("Evaluate personnel costs separately" active) or the main processing time ("Extension to cost element" > 1).
Input at marginal and full costs. A Cost element can also be stored, which is inserted into the work sequence on selection.
Please consider general information on Resource costs Secondary processing time 1, secondary processing time 2 (Designation as per setting) hmtoggle_plus1 Cost rate secondary time, extended cost rate Here you can set up additional cost rates such as rework, quality control, pure machinery costs, etc. as a separate cost rate as needed. These can also be reported separately in the FDC without having to insert another resource or operation.
These are visible if "Extension to cost elements" is set to 3 or 4.
Input at marginal and full costs. A Cost element can also be stored, which is inserted into the work sequence on selection.
See Concept Time types Configuration wizard - Resources Personnel costs The personnel cost rate can be set up here. Only visible if "Evaluate personnel costs separately" is active. For more information see this option.
Input at marginal and full costs. A Cost element can also be stored, which is inserted into the work sequence on selection. Cost Status Date on which the costs were defined Cost Center Specification of a cost center for further analysis (not to be confused with cost element) Expand to cost elements hmtoggle_plus1 Define number of cost rates Here you can define how many cost rates should be defined. The default is a cost element (processing time), which can represent a mixed calculation of machinery and personnel costs.
You can now define up to 4 cost rates if e.g. a separate report should be made for machinery, personnel, or other cost originators via FDC.
If setup time is to be valued separately, select "2" cost elements. Then for setup and for processing time rates at marginal and full costs and a Cost element are available. At order time receipt you select, if the registered time is setup or processing time.
Two additionally time types can be set up, to perform separate cost calculation and time registration.
See Concept Time types Time types Configuration wizard - Resources Evaluate labor costs separately hmtoggle_plus1 Separate personnel costs If this option is activated, a separate cost rate can be stored for personnel costs. Special feature: If a cost rate is stored in the personnel master, the costing calculation is performed using the personnel cost rate of the person who reported the time.
For this type of cost recording, separate personal clocking in/out is not necessary, although this means that this type of cost recording can only be used it the person only operates one machine at a time.
Example: Personnel costs with 2 cost elements ("Extend to cost elements" = 2):
- Setup cost element €0
- Processing cost element €2 / minute ( = machinery costs)
- Personnel costs €1.5 / minute
When logging in to FDC, the employee can now decide whether he reports the "setup" or the "processing". In the first case, a calculation of €1.5/minute ( = 0 + €1.5 ) is performed, and for a processing report €3.5 ( = €2 + €1.5)
Only one time report is generated in which all direct costs are included.
As a separate cost element can be stored for personnel costs, separate analysis of the planned or accumulated personnel costs is possible in the precalculation and costing analysis.
If the person operates several machines and clocks his own costs, this can be performed using an extended cost element.
Buttons / Functions Button Meaning Cost rate Define additional cost rates Update cost elements For the selected resource costs elements can be updated in all routing were this resource is contained as routing position. Selection: All - all cost elements are replaced Only empty: only empty cost elements are updated
