Pneumatic Control Module - quasics/quasics-frc-sw-2015 GitHub Wiki

The Cross The Roads Electronics Pneumatics Control Module (PCM) is the centerpiece of the FRC pneumatics system. It communicates with the RoboRio over the CAN Bus (Wikipedia), and is powered through the Power Distribution Panel ports from the same fuse as the Voltage Regulator Module: leads go into the power and ground leads labeled "Vin" (at the left of the photo).

The PCM must be used to power the Air Compressor, and the same PCM must have the mandatory Pressure Switch Plugged into it, for safety purposes. Both devices must be plugged into the adjacent ports on the PCM, at the bottom left of the image. The compressor wires and their leads must match color, but the pressure switch can be wired in either configuration.

In the middle of the device is a jumper which can be used to choose Solenoid voltage (12 or 24 volts). The solenoids themselves connect to the output pairs labeled 0-7 on the right half of the PCM, as seen in the image.

The PCM requires no special programming, but one should go to the web dashboard at "roboRIO-2656-FRC.local" to check what CAN ID it is assigned.
