Persis (Fars province?) attested in Assyrian sources since the third millennium B.C.E. under the form: 𒈥𒄩𒅆𒆠 Parhasi 𒁀𒊏𒄴𒋧𒆠 = 𒁀𒊏𒄴𒋳𒆠 Parahšum 'polity east of Elam' 𐎱𐎠𐎼𐎿 Pârsa Fars@Persis/Persia
Parahše "Land of the Horses" <> Perseus Pegasus Pferde 𒈥𒄩𒅆𒆠 Barhasi Marhasi Marhashi Marhaši

The antiquity of this polity and connections to Barath make the extended usage of Persia just as warranted as the usage of Elam for Ērān Aryan for Iran and Romans of the Roman Empire.

The designation of Achaemenid Persians as 'tribe' is about as appropriate as calling the Bush clans takeover of the whitehouse a Texan tribe. Political tribe maybe, but millennia after the establishment of urbanization in Iran neolithic tribalism is not the correct imagery.

Like the alphabet, a b c is spelled out ay be ce, however
VŠTASPHYA was probably pronounced Vištāspahayā or Vištāspahyā but certainly not
vi-ša-ta-a-sa-pa-ha-ya-a. Calling the old persian alphabet oeldee peeeresiayen syllabus with empty dummy vowels is [dummy linguistics](bad linguistics). Granted, some consonants did have vowel affinities, similar to the affinity of q to u. So in the iranian system one would probably write QRT and KRT for court and cart.

The fact that many persian forms are much closer to germanic forms than to other PIE languages is important: it matches well with the distribution of R1a and R1b (some forms are closer to german, some are english).
The existence of this Indo Germanic branch is a strong indicator that the Yamnaya expansion was just the northern wave of Indo European, deeper layers in southern europe were likely carried by EEF and CHG ancestry and only partially updated by the yamnaya branch which took much influence from EHG populations who likely spoke proto Uralic, Altaic and Turk.

R1b words, which are missing in R1a german:
saheł shore
fe'l vowel verb
saxs person
