History

The midnight sky took on a blood red tint. A creature from beyond our stars eclipsed the full moon as it suspended itself miles above the Oakwood docks. The Oakwood population plummeted shortly after. Through a series of disjointed and incoherent interviews of the victims, researchers were able to determine side effects of being within close proximity to the creature. These include an intense burning sensation on the skin, vertigo, hair loss, paranoia, agitation, confusion and seizures. In a few rare cases, victims grew what we can only surmise are boils filled with a red-tinged pus.

Few people know of this creature's visual appearance. It has been described by some as a demon, or an alien. In communities closer to the event, it's known as "Gurgite," or "The Sleeping God."
