Fluid Aspect Course 2.4.5: Fluid Effect Combinations

Many links combine multiple effects at the same time. Some examples:

  • It is common for conductor-type links, which allow bulk flow between two nodes, to add and remove constituents to/from the bulk flow through them, via the flow source effect, due to some modeled process. Adsorbers, reactors and their variants are examples.
  • GunnsFluidHatch is just a big valve (conductor) but it also uses the flow source effect to exchange gas constituents between the nodes due to free-molecular diffusion.
  • GunnsFluidSublimator uses a conductance effect on the liquid feed side and a source effect on the sublimated vapor exhaust side.
  • GunnsFluid3WayValve is two separate conductance effects making a V-shape between 3 nodes.
  • GunnsFluidAccumGas is two separate potential source effects between Ground and the liquid and gas nodes. These are modulated to act like a capacitor membrane between the liquid and gas sides.
