The Frost Plain - mlichtenstein/13thAgeSK GitHub Wiki
The frost plain is an icy expanse of moderate size which exists somewhere, but has proven notoriously hard to locate on a consistent basis. This is often cited as an unusual property for a plain.
Eswin Zighe is recorded to have claimed that the frost plain is a persistent time bubble left over from the 6th Age, rendered dramatically more stable than the others due to its bean-shaped topology. This is occasionally cited as an unusual property for a bubble. He stated that such a topology would create a non-uniform interface between the bubble and surrounding time, enabling one entering the bubble at one point and exiting at another to functionally traverse time. He later recanted that claim, however. This is often cited as an unusual act for an Eswin Zighe.
Regardless of its inconsistent geography and potentially related temporal qualities, it is by all accounts a most inhospitable land. This is often cited as a usual property for a frozen waste. It has few inhabitants of note, with the possible exception of the Ice Lord, who claims rule of what little life exists there. It is also home to the non-Sabian Vezeroffs, large furry creatures who wander about the plain on all fours and eat what things they encounter.

Her maps still work when the land moves around. They're just a bit hard to read. You know, representing higher dimensions on flat paper isn't easy! She sees it plain, and moves through the world accordingly. The scriptorium might not even know she's gone.
