Jenoh Riess - mlichtenstein/13thAgeSK GitHub Wiki

Jenoh Riess was a self-styled mystic who claimed to have visited the God Place on three occasions. He named the realm The Albued Almantique. According to his manuscript, he traveled through a portal opened by an artifact he encountered, which had since been lost. His first and third visits were relatively short, but he remained in the God Place for some time on the second visit. On all three occasions, he was accompanied by his protege, Sirah. Taken together, they represent the only claim of mortal travel to the God Place while in physical form.

Early Life

Little is known of Jenoh Riess' early life, as his self-authored manuscript is the only surviving written source. According to various accounts, he had worked as an apprentice cobbler, a hayward, a hod carrier, a peddler, an amateur herbalist, an entertainer, a surgeon, a herald, and a lawman, all before his journeys.

Controversy

The Order of Impatiens also seeks travel to the God Place, and some masters of that order assert they have projected their consciousness to the plane while in ecstatic states. While Jenoh Riess once referred to himself as the most successful member of the Order of Impatiens, the Order's leaders were quick to note that he had not undergone any of the initiatory acts, and had no formal standing with the order.
