Cubic - metrodroid/metrodroid GitHub Wiki
Cubic is a developer of public transport ticketing systems and infrastructure.
Their flagship system is Nextfare. There are multiple types of Nextfare card media:
- Nextfare on MIFARE Classic
 - Nextfare on MIFARE DESFire (this is normally fully locked, and thus unsupportable)
 - Nextfare on MIFARE Ultralight

In addition, they have worked on some systems that follow custom specifications.

- Charmcard (Baltimore, MA)

These all appear to have similar Value-Add machines to other Nextfare deployments.
Identifying a Cubic installation
On the card itself
Card serial numbers start with 016, and have 16 digits (eg: 0160 1234 5678 9012), or start with 0001 and have 20 digits.
Infrastructure
Cubic often uses similar infrastructure for different deployments, with minor variations. Devices have Cubic branding.
