Commentary: Today, I am only 19 thousand dollars from my self-defined Financial Stability Day, which is when Bucket 1 (short-term investments like t-bills and fixed deposits) and Bucket 2 (REITs) combined is enough to cover all of my investment and insurance premiums for the rest of my life. It has been 30 years in the making. In fact, if I stop all savings today, I will still hit my mark based on dividends and interest returns from Buckets 1 and 2. Hence, it is not premature to say…… I have made it.
