00084: Models flickering or bleeding through when far away
Summary: Models flickering or bleeding through when far away
Created: 2008–05–21 22:32
Status: Released
Category: Bug
From: frankie
Version: 1.1
Released_In: 2.0
Description:
When far away from a model, sometimes you might notice pieces of the geometry flickering or bleeding through other models.
Comments
frankie May 21, 2008, at 10:34 PM: This can be caused if there is not enough z-buffer resolution at the distances you are viewing. See this article for a workaround for versions <= 1.1.
frankie May 22, 2008, at 10:29 AM: Increased the default ztile_cnt from 3 to 4 which will clear up most of this for most people.

| Message: | [@Issue 00084: Add ztile_cnt to speedy args to increase cnt to 4
Increasing the ztile count from 3 to 4 will help clear up most ztile issues. For some users who are zooming in really far, an increase to 5 might be required. @] |
