Overview

Kodu Game Lab is a development tool built and supported by Microsoft. Kodu is free!

Kodu is meant to help anyone create a game. You don't need to know how to code when you begin, but as you gain experience with Kodu it can help you learn how to code. The games you build via Kodu can be played on Windows computers or on Xbox.

Getting Started

Start with the Kodu YouTube channel where you'll find introductions, tutorials, and short courses on game design.

You'll also want to visit the Resources section on the Kodu website. The resources available include online courses on Kodu and Game Design, Classroom Kits, Tips & Tricks, and pointers in Getting Started videos. Check out the Game Design Course or Space Science and Mars with Computer Science.

You'll also find support in the Kodu Community where you can connect with other people that use Kodu. This includes discussion forums and projects that others are sharing.
