Overview

ARIS is a free development tool! And - it is a tool to that you can use to make augmented reality games for iOS (iPhones and iPads).

Going down this path for creating a game is pretty exciting. The world is still new to the idea of augmented reality. So if you are up for exploring new approaches in learning and technology, this might be the path for you and your team. Augmented reality could help add a gaming dimension to:

  • field trips;
  • scavenger hunts;
  • interactive textbooks; and
  • physical materials (cards, worksheets, etc.)

Along with the excitement and potential of such approaches, also keep in mind that the games created are only playable on Apple mobile devices.
