Setting up localizer - josalggui/MaRGE GitHub Wiki
Step-by-Step Tutorial for Configuring the Localizer Sequence
The Localizer sequence is a crucial step in imaging, designed to provide a quick overview of the field of view (FOV) with low resolution. Follow these steps to set up and use the Localizer sequence effectively:
Step 1: Select the Localizer Sequence
- Open main window of MaRGE and navigate to the
Custom
tab. - From the sequence list, select
Localizer
.
Step 2: Configure the Localizer Sequence
- Adjust the parameters of the Localizer sequence to match your requirements. Ensure you consider the specific needs of your imaging study when setting these parameters.
Step 3: Set the Orientation Inputs
- Go to the
Others
tab. - Locate the
Planes
inputs section. This parameter consists of a list of three elements, each representing a different orientation (sagittal, coronal, and axial). - Set each element to either 0 or 1:
- 1 indicates you want to acquire that orientation.
- 0 indicates you do not want to acquire that orientation.
- For example, setting
Planes
to [1, 1, 0] means you will acquire only the sagittal and coronal orientation.
Step 4: Save the Localizer Sequence Configuration
- In the Sequence toolbar, find and click the
Save for Calibration
button .
Step 5: Use the Localizer Sequence
- After saving the configuration, click the
Localizer
button . - This action will place one Localizer sequence into the history list for each selected orientation (as set in the
Others
tab). - The system will then efficiently acquire the required Localizer data based on your specifications.
By following these steps, you can ensure that the Localizer sequence is properly configured and utilized, allowing you to obtain the necessary preliminary imaging data efficiently.
