Step-by-Step Tutorial for Creating a Protocol in MaRGE

MaRGE allows you to run predefined protocols, which are collections of sequences with set parameters. This feature helps streamline your experimental workflows. Here's how to create and manage protocols:

Creating a New Protocol

1. Click the New Protocol Button :

   • This action opens a dialog box where you can enter the name of the new protocol.

2. Save in the Protocols Folder:

   • Protocols must be created in the protocols folder.
   • Once created, the protocol will appear in the protocol list in the Protocols tab.

Adding Sequences to the Protocol

1. Select a Sequence:

   • Go to the Custom tab and select a sequence from the sequence list.

2. Customize Sequence Parameters:

   • Adjust the sequence parameters as needed for the protocol.

3. Switch to the Protocol Tab:

   • Navigate to the Protocol tab and select the desired protocol.

4. Add Sequence:

   • Click the Add Sequence button .

5. Enter Sequence Name:

   • In the dialog box that appears, enter the name of the sequence as you’d like it to be displayed in the Protocol tab.

Executing Sequences from the Protocol

• Double-Click to Execute:
  • To run sequences from the protocol, double-click on the desired sequence to add it to the waiting list.

Removing Sequences from Protocols

• Right-Click and Delete:
  • Right-click on the sequence in the protocol and select Delete.
  • Alternatively, click the Delete Sequence button and choose the sequence to remove.

Deleting Protocols

• Delete Protocol:
  • Click the Delete Protocol button .
  • In the dialog box, select the protocol you wish to delete.
