Media Submission


Overview

We're building a library of faith-driven content that restores identity and purpose. If you've created something meaningful — a film, podcast, article, or visual work — we'd love to consider it for the Ruach Studios platform.


What We're Looking For

Content That:

Restores — Builds up identity and purpose
Speaks Truth — Rooted in biblical wisdom
Exhibits Excellence — High production quality
Engages Culture — Relevant and timely
Inspires Action — Moves people toward transformation

Content That Doesn't Fit:

❌ Purely entertainment (no redeeming message)
❌ Heavy-handed preaching (no narrative depth)
❌ Low production quality (unprofessional execution)
❌ Partisan politics (we're prophetic, not partisan)
❌ Divisive or hateful messaging


Submission Types

1. Short Films

Format:

  • Length: 5-30 minutes
  • Resolution: 1080p minimum (4K preferred)
  • File Format: MP4 (H.264 codec)
  • Audio: Stereo or 5.1 surround, -3dB to -6dB average

What to Submit:

  • Final edited video file
  • Script or treatment (PDF)
  • Behind-the-scenes photos (optional)
  • Credits list (cast, crew, music)

Theme Examples:

  • Identity and purpose
  • Redemption arcs
  • Faith in modern culture
  • Family and legacy

2. Documentary Series

Format:

  • Length: 3-10 episodes, 20-40 minutes each
  • Resolution: 1080p minimum (4K preferred)
  • File Format: MP4 (H.264 codec)

What to Submit:

  • Pilot episode (full edit)
  • Series outline (synopsis of all episodes)
  • Trailer (2-3 minutes)
  • Credits list

3. Podcasts

Format:

  • Length: 20-60 minutes
  • File Format: WAV or FLAC (lossless)
  • Audio Quality: 48kHz, 24-bit, no clipping

What to Submit:

  • Episode audio file
  • Show notes (with timestamps)
  • Transcript (optional but preferred)
  • Cover art (3000x3000px, JPG or PNG)

Content Types:

  • Interviews with builders and creators
  • Theological deep dives
  • Cultural commentary
  • Personal testimonies

4. Articles & Essays

Format:

  • Length: 800-3,000 words
  • File Format: Markdown (.md) or Word (.docx)
  • Images: High-res (300dpi for print, 72dpi for web)

What to Submit:

  • Article text (with proper formatting)
  • Author bio (50-100 words)
  • Headshot photo (optional)
  • Citations (if applicable)

Topics:

  • Faith and technology
  • Creativity and calling
  • Entrepreneurship with purpose
  • Theology in daily life

5. Music & Worship

Format:

  • Length: 2-6 minutes
  • File Format: WAV or FLAC (lossless)
  • Audio Quality: 48kHz, 24-bit

What to Submit:

  • Mixed and mastered audio file
  • Lyrics (with chord charts if applicable)
  • Cover art (3000x3000px)
  • Music video (optional)

Style:

  • Worship and contemplative music
  • Spoken word and poetry
  • Soundtracks and instrumentals

Submission Process

Step 1: Prepare Your Submission

Ensure your content meets our quality standards (see Content Guidelines).


Step 2: Submit Your Pitch

Before submitting full files, pitch your idea first:

Submit via:

Include:

  • Title
  • Format (film, podcast, article, etc.)
  • Synopsis (2-3 sentences)
  • Why it matters (alignment with mission)
  • Sample or preview (link or attachment)
  • Timeline (when can you deliver?)

Step 3: Review & Feedback

Our team will review your pitch within 7-10 business days and respond with:

  • Approved — Proceed with full submission
  • Revisions Requested — Feedback for improvement
  • Not a Fit — Doesn't align with our mission or standards

Step 4: Upload Full Files

If approved, upload your files via:

Option A: Google Drive / Dropbox

Option B: WeTransfer

Option C: GitHub (for text-based content)


Step 5: Final Review

We'll review the full submission and may request:

  • Minor edits (typos, pacing, audio levels)
  • Major revisions (structural changes)
  • Additional materials (credits, permissions, releases)

Step 6: Publication

Once finalized, we'll:

  • Publish your content on our platform
  • Promote it across social media and newsletters
  • Credit you as the creator
  • Compensate you (if applicable — see below)

Rights & Licensing

What You Keep

  • Ownership — You retain full copyright to your work
  • Portfolio Use — You can showcase it anywhere
  • Future Rights — You can distribute it elsewhere (non-exclusive)

What We Need

  • Distribution Rights — Permission to host and share your work on Ruach Studios platforms
  • Promotional Rights — Ability to use excerpts, clips, or stills for marketing
  • Editorial Rights — Ability to make minor edits (with your approval)

Legal Agreement:
All submissions require a signed Contributor Agreement (provided after approval).


Compensation

Current Model

We're a volunteer-driven initiative, so compensation is limited. However, we offer:

  • Exposure — Featured on our platform with your name and links
  • Portfolio Piece — High-quality work to showcase
  • Community — Networking with like-minded creators

Future Model

As we grow, we plan to:

  • Pay creators for original content (TBD)
  • Revenue sharing from platform subscriptions or ads
  • Sponsorship deals (if applicable)

Submission Checklist

Before you submit, ensure:

Content aligns with our mission and values
Production quality meets technical standards
All files are properly formatted and exported
Credits include all contributors (cast, crew, music)
Permissions secured for music, images, and footage
Legal releases obtained (talent releases, location permits)
Pitch submitted and approved before full upload

Video

  • Resolution: 1080p minimum (1920x1080)
  • Frame Rate: 24fps or 30fps (consistent throughout)
  • Codec: H.264 (MP4 container)
  • Bitrate: 10-20 Mbps for 1080p, 35-50 Mbps for 4K
  • Color Grading: Consistent look (avoid jarring shifts)
  • Audio: Stereo or 5.1, -3dB to -6dB average, no clipping

Audio (Podcasts)

  • Format: WAV or FLAC (lossless)
  • Sample Rate: 48kHz
  • Bit Depth: 24-bit
  • Editing: Remove background noise, normalize levels
  • Music: Licensed or royalty-free (provide proof)

Images

  • Resolution: 300dpi for print, 72dpi for web
  • Format: PNG (with transparency) or JPG
  • Color Space: sRGB for web, CMYK for print

Text

  • Grammar: Zero typos or errors
  • Readability: Clear, concise, well-structured
  • Citations: Properly formatted (APA, MLA, or Chicago)

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I submit work-in-progress?

Yes! Pitch your idea early. We can provide feedback before you finalize.


Do I need to be a professional creator?

No. We care about quality and message, not credentials. If your work is excellent and aligns with our mission, submit it.


What if my content doesn't get approved?

We'll provide feedback so you can improve and resubmit. Not every submission fits our platform, but we respect your effort.


Can I submit content I've published elsewhere?

Yes, as long as you have the rights to distribute it. We accept non-exclusive content.


How long does the review process take?

  • Pitch review: 7-10 business days
  • Full submission review: 14-21 days (depending on length and complexity)
