Download Directories

Download directories let you save commonly used download paths so you can quickly select them when adding torrents.

Directory types

Type	Scope	Description
Default	Global	The default download directory used by Transmission when no other directory is specified
Global	All servers	Directories available across all configured servers
Per-server	Single server	Directories specific to a particular server

Managing directories

Go to Settings > Directories to manage your saved directories.

• Add a directory by entering the full path on the server's filesystem (e.g., /downloads/movies)
• Remove a directory by deleting it from the list

Directories are paths on the machine running Transmission, not on your Android device.

Using directories

When adding torrents

When Adding Torrents, tap the Download Path field to choose from your saved directories. The torrent's files will be downloaded to the selected path.

Filtering torrents

On the main torrent list, you can filter torrents by their download directory to quickly find torrents in a specific location.
