Adding Torrents

Torrents can be added to Transmission, qBittorrent, or the local engine using magnet links, torrent files, or Android share intents.

From within the app

Tap the + button to open the Add Torrent screen.

Magnet link

Paste a magnet link into the Magnet Link field. When a magnet link is entered, the torrent file picker is disabled.

Torrent file

Tap the torrent file picker to browse for a .torrent file on your device. When a torrent file is selected, the magnet link field is disabled.

Options

Option	Description
Download Path	Choose a saved [download directory](/jgalat/remote-app/wiki/Download-Directories). Local-engine downloads use app-managed storage.
Start Automatically	When enabled, the torrent starts downloading immediately after being added. When disabled, the torrent is added in a stopped state.

From other apps (Android intents)

The app registers as a handler for magnet links and torrent files. This means you can:

• Tap a magnet link in another app and choose Remote
• Open a .torrent file and choose Remote

The Add Torrent screen opens with the magnet or torrent file filled in. You can still choose the other add options before continuing.

From search results (Pro)

With Search configured, you can search for torrents and add results directly. See Search for details.
