Search Inpatient Direct Issues by Bill
Overview
The Search Inpatient Direct Issues by Bill page allows you to find pharmacy direct-issue bills for inpatient admissions. Direct issues are when pharmacy staff issue medicines directly to a BHT without a prior ward request. This page searches at the bill level.

How to Search
- From the main menu, go to Inpatient → Pharmacy → Search Inpatient Direct Issues by Bill
- Apply one or more of the following filters:
| Filter | Description |
|---|---|
| From / To Date | Filter by the date range when the issue bill was created |
| Bill No | Search by the issue bill's department-assigned number |
| BHT No | Search by the admission's BHT number |
| Patient Name | Search by the patient's name (partial match supported) |
| Patient Phone | Search by the patient's phone number |
| Item Name | Search by the name of the issued medicine or item |
| Net Total | Filter by the net total amount of the issue bill |
- Click Search Bills to search at the bill level
- Results appear in a table
Search By Bill vs By Item
- Search by Bill (this page) — results show one row per issue bill. Use this when you know the bill number or want to see the overall dispensing transaction.
- Search by Item — results show one row per issued item. Use this when searching for a specific medicine or tracking individual item dispensations. Access this via Inpatient → Pharmacy → Search Inpatient Direct Issues by Item.
Understanding Results
Each row shows:
- Bill No — the issue bill number
- BHT No — the linked admission
- Patient Name — the patient
- Date — when the issue was processed
- Net Total — the total value of issued items
Cancelled issue bills are displayed in red.
