Note: As of July 2026, these are labeled "Issue Categories" in the UI (see Managing Issue Categories). The concept and underlying data are unchanged.

Discard/Issue categories refer to classifications used to categorize pharmaceutical products or materials that are deemed unusable or no longer suitable for their intended purpose.

e.g.

1. Expired Pharmaceuticals

2. Damaged or Defective Products

3. Recalled Pharmaceuticals

4. Unused or Surplus Pharmaceuticals

5. Contaminated Pharmaceuticals

6. Returned Pharmaceuticals
