Hello! As you surely know, inserting a World Map can be complicated for some people, but now you won't have any problems! With Hex Maniac Advance, this beautiful tool, you will be able to insert your World Map in seconds, and I'm not exaggerating, even so, If you still do not have your World Map created, here I will leave you some steps that you could follow to do it, without further ado, let's start!

Well, since this really isn't a complicated thing, I'll keep it short, since this is not the main point of the topic. The first thing to do is download this template, it has the perfect measurements to be inserted through HMA (HexManiacAdvance), well, here I will leave the template.

Before you start editing, I'll clarify a few things for you, so you don't make common mistakes. The first thing is that in the black border zone DO NOT TOUCH, even if you make changes it will not be seen in game, second, in the Red and Blue zone it is very important that they do not place cities/towns/caves/routes etc, if you can continue the terrain of your region. Another thing that as such is not an error, but if it will look ugly in the game, try to frame your cities/towns/routes etc., in the Black and White grid, so that it doesn't look weird later, well, now I will also leave several styles for your World Map, in case you do not have your own.

Well, once you have made your World Map (WM), it is important that they have clearly indexed it, well, we have made enough progress with this, so here is my WM deformity for this topic.

Don't throw your beautiful World Map in my face please, well, as you can see, don't touch the black area at all, but the red and blue area, even if I don't put any kind of route or town on it, perfect, now I would just touch what we come to, how to insert it into your game.

Ok, assuming you already have your World Map, let's start here. Step 1 Well, let's boot, the first thing will clearly be to open our Fire Red Rom in HMA. once done, we go to the "Graphics" section then "townmap" and finally "tilemap" We will click on "import"

and we will select our World Map, something that I want you to take into account, is that HMA will possibly repoint your World Map, even so, HMA will save the new address of your World Map, but if you want to choose in which zone you want your map, just do the following:

If you look at the bottom right, you will see that there is a bar that indicates an address, on the right it clearly says "free space", well, you know what it's for, right? I will explain, in that bar they will replace the address that is placed by the one that they will obviously have and want, I imagine that it is not necessary to clarify it but that new address must be free, FF bone everywhere. Well, that would be it, now we click on "import" and select your beautiful World Map.

This will appear here, well, since I already realized that English is not your thing, I will explain each option. "Smart": This option will fix incompatibilities automatically, it will try to achieve a balance between the palettes of your new World Map and the other images that use the same palette. "Greedy": This option will completely ignore the other images that are using this same palette, so they will look horrible, even so, you can do them yourself with the new palette, and it may be a jewel. "Cuatious": This option will not change the original palette of the FR TownMap, that is, your TownMap will stay with the palette of the FR TownMap, it is not recommended if you want your TownMap to be pretty. Perfect, once explained, which one should we choose? I normally choose "Greedy", since I usually replace the other sprites or eliminate them, but this depends on each person, they can try, as long as they have backup copies.

As you can see, it's already imported, here I was lucky and the black color was placed at the beginning, the black color is the color that will be transparent in the game, so yes, it should always be at the beginning of the palette, now, what if Does it not appear at the beginning of the palette? Do you use another tool to edit the position of the palette? NO, for that we have HMA, the only thing we will do to bring our background color to the beginning of the palette is click on it and drag it keeping click, until the beginning of the palette, well, you see that it was not difficult?, perfect.
