Static routing is a type of network routing technique. Static routing is not a routing protocol; instead, it is the manual configuration and selection of a network route. The major advantages of static routing are reduced routing protocol router overhead and reduced routing protocol network traffic. The major disadvantages of static routing are network changes require manual reconfiguration in routers and network outages cannot be automatically routed around. Also it is difficult to configure static routing in a complex network.
For this lab, I configure a static route with 3 routers, 3 switches, and 6 VPCs. An additional task is a live record with deploy and configures new network
